Crossing arms prevents people from paying attention to and retaining what is being said. Even if you try to listen to every word someone is saying, crossed arms will seriously diminish your ability to learn and retain information2 things you need to know
1) If you’re trying to listen to someone, dont fold your arms
2) If you’re talking THEIR arms are folded,, you might as well stop talking, because they’re not listening.
Of course this is particularly important in sales and negotiation training.
